Little update

Take a blank book, pen, and write!
Write inside your notes, your rituals, your dreams, ideas, whatever. Write date for every entry and make a symbol to distinguish whether the entry is a note, ritual, dream, use the symbols.
Reading it a year or two later, you will find out a lot of things. You will find out what person you were, how much you developed, you can also make connections between your practice, between your dreams and between your personality.

Note to Self:
Next time you want to write down your dream so your 2 years older future Self can use it as an advantage, and you have a very big urge to write it down as "I had a very very strange dream about a dog", be so kind and SLAP YOURSELF!

Simple Sumerian Banishing Ritual

In this simple ritual we will call two entities that were given to Marduk.
Nariluggaldimmerankia, guardian of Igigi and Annunaki, enemy of all maskim and rabishu, and we will also call Asaruludu, ruler of the flame sword, giver of the perfect defense.

I am a bit tired now to give any more details, so here we go:
1) Face north and take a couple of deep breaths
2) Center and ground yourself (as described in How to begin with practical Magick article)
3) Call the word of Nariluggaldimmerankia, the word is BANRABISHU. Call this word to each direction, when you are done, turn back to north. This should clean the space of all negative energy, no matter if it consisted of negative emotions like anger, fear, frustration, negative entities like demons, larvae or some curse.
4) Call the word of Asaruludu. Proceed the same way as in step 3, call his word in each direction. His word is BANMASKIM.
5) Enjoy the effects.

This ritual is very simple, words of power can be easily memorized and the whole procedure takes just a couple of moments. It's perfect ritual to perform before you go to sleep, protecting you during the night and letting you wake up very energetic and happy.

Quick update

My recent dive into necromancy already started paying off. Omnipresence of death is very interesting, let's see if I can make a working paradigm out of this.

Absence

I am taking some time off to practice fully, I should be fully back till September.

Magickal wood cutting

I had to cut some very hard wood this morning. Cutting each piece was very time consuming and I quickly ran out of stamina.

After few pieces I went for a coffee and cigarette and to get some stamina back. During the break I thought for myself: "Screw it, I am Magician".

I went back, grabbed the axe, put it above my head and started with following incantation:

"O, Spirits of physical strength, I summon thee. Come to my place and charge this axe with your power so it can cut through wood more effectively. Come to my place and grant me strength.
Wood, be aware of the power of spirits of physical strength. Be aware of the power of this axe".

After that, cutting the wood changed into child's play. No matter how hard the wood was, few hits was everything I needed, hardly even getting wet.

In the middle of cutting, my girlfriend came to ask me if I was tired and found a good pile of cut wood. I asked her if she wants to try and she also didn't have any problem with cutting few pieces.

My little return

During time of my practice I have tried a number of various methods, exercises, spells, healing methods, etc. I usually keep with some practice till I learn and try it and then I move to next one.
Today was the very special day when I remembered some of my older techniques, more specifically I have finally recalled how I was working with Reiki in effective way. I like these returns to past :).

How to craft talismans/amulets

Introduction

I think you all know it. Amulets for protection, talismans and lucky charms are the most favorite magickal items all around the world. Countless people make their fortunes by selling these on eBay.

My personal belief is that a real Magician and a real sorcerer should be able to craft their own items. From wand up to the lucky charm, these are items you might want to use in your everyday life, crafting own items saves money and helps to develop some skill. No matter to say that custom item will have some serious mojo, compared to those generics sold on the internet.

What we need

1. Holder. Item created from leather, black silk or wood that will be worn on neck or somewhere near your heart as a container of the talisman.
2. Pen and paper. Yes, we will use sigil as the mojo container :).
3. Time to perform the Magickal part

Specify your intent

First of all, you have to specify intent of your accessory. For amulets you can use generic intent like “THIS MY WILL TO BE PROTECTED FROM ALL EVIL” or more specific one like “THIS MY WILL TO BE PROTECTED FROM TAXES”. Awaken artist within and he will lead to you success :).

In case of talismans, also we can use some generic intent, typically “THIS MY WILL TO HAVE SUPER LUCK” or, once again, “THIS MY WILL TO WIN LOTTERY ON SUNDAY”. Talismans are related to luck, success and achievements. For example you can create a talisman to get a raise and keep that talisman till its goal is completed.

If you are doing an amulet or talisman for someone else, make sure you modify the intent that they are considered. This is the main difference between crafted talisman and generics from eBay, by targeting one specific wielder, you enhance effect of the item.

Sigilize the intent

I believe there are enough materials on intent sigilization process that I can omit this part. In case of questions, ask :).

Charging the Sigil

When we have the complete Sigil, we should charge it. There are plenty of DEATH POSTURES and methods available on the internet to do this, so if you want to use those, use those :). I will describe one that uses the spiritual model.

First thing you should do is to center and ground yourself. That will help you to calm down and to connect to external source. After that is done, you should banish and cast a circle. After you are done with casting your circle, place your Sigil in front of you and start with following conjuration:

“O, talismanic spirits I summon thee. Come to this place and breath a life to my unliving Sigil. Grant my wish and let the Sigil be living, I call thee in name of [deity of choice], come to this place and do my bidding”.

Now comes that nice time where you should stand still with closed eyes and “feel” those precious energies all around you. Keep doing so for couple of minutes.

As next part start talking to our Sigil, this is an actualization process:

“O, my talismanic Sigil, who used to be a piece of paper. Life was put within you with help of talismanic spirits. Raise and be living. Act according to my Will and please me with results”.

Make a pause and “feel” the energies, once again, put a lot of belief into your doing :).

Ok, everything done. Send your thanks to talismanic spirits, to your deity, license them to depart, banish and open the circle. Put the Sigil into the holder and the whole process is finished.
